Donation Policy

Because Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA has very limited storage space and because we lack the personnel required to adequately accept, sort, and distribute donations; we are unable to accept used clothing (unless specifically listed under current needs) until further notice.

We are accepting donations of the following NEW items:

• hair care items - especially conditioner, mousse, gel, hairspray, ethnic products, and hair brushes
• hair accessories
• full-size personal care items (with some occasional exceptions)
• deodorant
• bath towels and hand towels
• bras - sizes 36 & 38
• ladies underwear- sizes 4-8
• women’s pajamas
• women’s slippers - sizes M, L, & XL
• women’s and children’s shoes - all sizes
• boys and girls clothes all sizes
• girls’ clothing - 18 to 24 months
• diapers - all sizes
• over-the counter medications
• paper products - especially toilet paper and paper towels
• 13 and 33 gallon trash bags
• 12 cup coffee pot
• postage stamps

Cash Donations

Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA could not provide the quaility services that we do without the assistance of members of the local community. If you are interested in making a cash donation, please make your check payable to Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA and send it to 308 E. Maiden St., Washington, PA 15301. We would like to thank the members of the community for their continued support.

Kaleidoscope is accepting donations for Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA

Kaleidoscope is now accepting donations of furniture, decorative pieces, jewelry, collectibles, books, antiques, tools, toys, and household items to benefit Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA. Donations will be accepted at 899 East Maiden Street in Washington on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information, please call 724-222-8540 or e-mail helptheshelter@gmail.com.
